Celui-ci se déroulera à Prague en novembre prochain.<br> <br> Après un premier stage en juillet, le groupe coaché par Olivier Carlier, Mickael Trémège et Pierre Mawet s'est retrouvé la semaine dernière au Domaine Provincial du Bois d'Havré, près de Mons.<br> <br> Un stage de cinq jours qui s'est achevé par un test-match contre la République Tchèque aux 24h de Frameries. Nos jeunes compatriotes ont livré un match plein pour s'imposer 12 essais à 1, validant leur billet pour le tournoi européen de novembre.</p></div> <div class='rss_texte'><p>Les doutes nés après la huitième et dernière place au Championnat d'Europe 2025 se sont envolés dans le ciel du Plateau de la Foresterie de Boitsfort ce 9 mai.<br> <br> Dans la foulée de trois jours de stage, l'équipe de Belgique U18 a maîtrisé son sujet face à la Roumanie et décroché une victoire synonyme de réponse. Oui, le groupe coaché par Olivier Carlier, Nathan Bontems et Pierre Mawet a largement sa place en Championnat d'Europe.<br> <br> Il n'aura fallu que trois minutes aux Belges pour planter le premier essai de la partie (7-0). Et six de plus pour doubler la mise (14-0). Le capitaine Charles Shortall et ses partenaires tuaient finalement déjà tout suspense avant la fin du premier quart d'heure, en s'offrant un troisième essai transformé (21-0).<br> <br> Le ton était donné. Et le rythme n'allait pas baissé. Trois nouveaux essais transformés plus tard, la Belgique menait 42-0 à la pause.<br> <br> La Roumanie tentait encore de réagir en début de second acte. Sans vraiment y parvenir. Supérieurs dans tous les secteurs de jeu, nos compatriotes faisaient mal à chaque accélération, ou presque. Et concrétisaient par six essais en seconde mi-temps. Les Roumains sauvaient tout de même l'honneur à quelques minutes du terme (82-7).<br> <br> Grâce ce succès amplement mérité, l'équipe belge assure donc son maintien en Championnat d'Europe et s'offre une performance prometteuse. Les Polonais en profitaient pour mener 3-7 après 11 minutes de jeu. Un essai d'Elvis Close relançait cependant les Belges juste après le quart d'heure (10-7).<br> <br> Supérieure en mêlée, la Pologne inscrivait ensuite un deuxième essai à la demi-heure pour virer en tête au repos (10-14).<br> <br> Les joueurs coachés par Olivier Carlier, Nathan Bontems et Pierre Mawet ne parvenaient pas à emballer le match en seconde période. Les Polonais creusaient par contre l'écart quatre minutes après la reprise (10-21).<br> <br> Dos au mur, les Belges allaient réagir et planter deux essais en l'espace de sept minutes via Markus Monnier et David Aronis. Ils reprenaient ainsi l'avantage à cinq minutes du terme, bien aidés aussi par les deux transformations (difficiles) de Monnier.<br> <br> La Pologne trouvait toutefois encore les ressources de repartir à l'assaut de l'en-but belge.
